The World Business Council for Sustainable Development has developed a toolkit to support the agribusiness sector and members of the Global Agribusiness Alliance (GAA) align on and improve human rights policy and practice. The GAA has a mandate to strengthen sustainable landscapes and livelihoods to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Created by human rights experts and agribusiness leaders, the toolkit explores the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) through the lens of the agribusiness sector, focusing on common issues faced in the agriculture sector, such as child and forced labour. It also includes explanations of concepts related to human rights and a guide for companies looking to strengthen their human rights policy.
