Learning from children in cocoa-growing communities

Children have the right to participate in decisions that affect them; and listening to them is key to understanding their aspirations, priorities, and the challenges they face, as well as to finding appropriate solutions. In partnership with Nestlé, ICI initiated consultations with children and adolescents aged 10 – 17 in cocoa-growing communities in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. The consultations aimed to create an environment in which children felt safe to voice their opinions.
