This project is testing new approaches to reduce the prevalence of child labour amongst cocoa-growing households in Ghana.

The project is exploring two key areas of innovation: a risk-based approach to identifying households using child labour; and direct income support to farming households, using mobile money.

The project includes a randomised control trial to evaluate the impact of cash transfers on child labour, school attendance and child well-being.
