Mondelez International, a member of the International Cocoa Initiative, has released a Human Rights Policy, in line with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs). The policy underlines Mondelez’s commitment to tackling child labour and forced labour in its supply chain.

Mondelez’s policy also affirms the company’s adherence to human rights due diligence “to identify, mitigate and reduce the likelihood of potential and actual human rights impacts within our own operations, and work with our business partners in our supply chain to achieve the same”.

At ICI, we are pleased to see Mondelez reaffirm its commitment to addressing issues such as child and forced labour through a human rights due diligence approach.
