Investing in women is key to accelerating progress in the fight against child labour in cocoa. Women’s empowerment helps address some of the root causes of child labour and has positive impacts on entire communities. 

When women are directly involved in Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation Systems as Community Facilitators, they help strengthen these systems. Women’s strong communication and interpersonal skills, together with their ability to connect with children, can make them more effective at identifying cases of child labour. This highlights women's important role in the fight against child labour and the need to #InvestInWomen Community Facilitators.
