The Community Service Group (CSG) set up by ICI in Manzansi (Zaranou) is made up of 30 people, all members of the Coopaza cooperative, the group is tasked with doing field work, that could otherwise be done by children, in exchange for a small fee. In this way, the group helps tackle child labour in their community. The CSG is a self-governing group, a cooperative in itself, and its members together decide how to allocate the money they receive for their work, with a portion going toward their savings, another toward their tools, and the final portion being used to make significant contributions to their community. In this case the group has used their funds toward a number of educational initiatives to aid children in the community.
