    Protective School Environment Assessment
    The Protective School Environment Assessment is a simple tool to assess three dimensions of a quality learning environment: safety, stability, and nurturance. It is a proxy measure which captures aspects related to the physical and relational environment at school. Higher scores are associated with lower levels of teacher violence, higher levels of pupil wellbeing at school, and better learning outcomes for children.

    WHO-5 Child Wellbeing Index
    The WHO-5 Child Wellbeing Index is a simple tool for measuring children's psychological well being. It consists of five positively worded questions that can be administered in less than five minutes. This document presents a slightly simplified version of the original tool, developed by the World Health Organisation, with five response options instead of six. This version of the tool has been successfully tested by ICI in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana and has proved suitable for use with children aged 5 to 17.     This report documents results and learning from a pilot project to set up Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation Systems in 24 communities in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana.     Cash transfers, resilience and child labour in Ghana
    This study examines the impacts of an unconditional cash transfer programme on cocoa-growing households in Ghana. The pilot project, set up as a randomized control trial, aimed to test whether cash transfers can help reduce hazardous child labour. It also examines what other impacts cash transfers have on children and their families in this context.
