    This joint report by Human Rights Watch, Initiative for Social Economic Rights, and Friends of the Nation, examines the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on child labour, children’s rights and poverty in Ghana, Nepal, and Uganda. It analyses responses, such as cash transfers, and provides recommendations to governments, donors, and companies to address issues related to child protection, education, and child labour.

    The impact of ICI's Community Development Programme in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire
    This report analyses the impact of the International Cocoa Initiative’s Community Development Programme on child labour and its severity in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. ICI’s Community Development Programme supported 75 cocoa-growing communities in both countries over four years, between 2015 and 2018, with the overall aim of improving these communities’ capacity to protect children.

    The Solidaridad Network, a partner of the International Cocoa Initiative, presents findings on the impact of MASO, a five-year programme focussed on creating employment opportunities for youth aged 18-25 in cocoa communities. The programme targeted 10,700 not-in-school youth living under the $2 per day poverty line in specific communities.
