This report documents results and learning from a pilot project to set up Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation Systems in 24 communities in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. ICI’s learning agenda is a set of questions to guide ICI's research and learning activities to fill identified knowledge gaps in relation to child labour and forced labour in the cocoa sector. The learning agenda is collectively defined and prioritised, based on input from ICI's members and partners. It sets out our vision for the collective learning process over the next strategic period (2021-2026) and will reviewed on an annual basis.

This study examines the impacts of an unconditional cash transfer programme on cocoa-growing households in Ghana. The pilot project, set up as a randomized control trial, aimed to test whether cash transfers can help reduce hazardous child labour. It also examines what other impacts cash transfers have on children and their families in this context.
