Cross-border trafficking and worst forms of child labour : Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana sign an accord

Literacy classes help the community of N'dénou

In the community of N’dénou in Côte d’Ivoire, ICI is conducting literacy classes with adults. Cocoa-growing communities often have low levels of education and this can be a factor in exacerbating children’s participation in hazardous child labour. In this community the classes had 48 participants, of which 43 were women. Across other communities in Côte d’Ivoire a total of 279 adults are being taught basic numeracy and literacy skills.
