    Child labour legislation in Nigeria
This analysis provides an overview of relevant national legislation and policies aiming to protect children from child labour in Nigeria. It includes comparisons and linkages with international norms and standards on child labour, with a focus on those most applicable to child labour in agriculture and the cocoa sector. The analysis builds on the national constitution, existing laws and conventions ratified in the country, on existing good practice, and on recent countrywide studies of child labour to propose a list of hazardous activities, which could be included in surveys and tools used to

Meta-analysis of the effects of interventions on child labour
This meta-analysis includes a comprehensive set of interventions to provide a quantitative assessment of their impact on child labour. The research reviewed 614 studies on child labour and forced labour identified by the ILO's "Research to Action" (RTA) project and an additional 40 recent studies to obtain a sample of 41 randomized and quasi-experimental impact evaluations suitable for the meta-analysis. As several outcomes and interventions are reported in these studies, 131 effect-size estimates were collected; of these, 86 refer to the child’s probability of engaging in any type of activity

    Child labour legislation in Ethiopia
This report provides an overview of relevant national legislation and policies aiming to protect children from child labour in Ethiopia. It includes comparisons with international norms and standards on child labour, with a focus on those most applicable to child labour in agriculture and the coffee sector. In the absence of a national hazardous activity framework, the report draws on existing good practice and recent countrywide studies of child labour to propose a list of hazardous activities, which could be included in surveys to assess the prevalence of child labour in coffee growing areas

The COVID-19 consequences on child labour in agrifood systems
This paper provides insights and evidence on how the COVID-19 pandemic and related policy responses to curb its spread influence the risk of child labour in agriculture through different pathways. It draws on case studies from seven countries covering different production systems: Côte d’Ivoire (cocoa), Ethiopia (cattle keeping and farming), (Lebanon (horticulture and greenhouse farms), the Philippines (municipal fisheries), and Viet Nam (crop farming, livestock, and citrus fruit chains). Based on these evidence, the document provides concluding reflections and recommendations on priority
