Free the Slaves is a non-governmental organisation and international lobby group, established to promote the fight against modern slavery worldwide. The Free the Slaves approach is a targeted strategy as part of global efforts to enable people to meet their basic needs. Access to economic opportunities, health services, universal education and the strong rule of law would reduce the vulnerability of enslaved populations. Free the Slaves supports these efforts while recognising that the existence of slavery requires a specific and direct approach to its eradication.
