This ICI study explores the relationship between child labour, school attendance and child well-being among children in cocoa-growing households in Côte d’Ivoire. This study investigates whether, in the context of smallholder farming in cocoa-growing areas of West-Africa, children’s psychological wellbeing (a proxy for the child’s physical and mental health) and access to school are linked with the intensity of exposure to child work , one of the several determinants of severity of child work.
