How to make a Donation
kids in cocoa field.jpg The generous contributions of institutions and individuals like you allows us to help hundreds of children each year. Donate by mail. Click here to print out a donation form to include in your mail to ICI. Your donation will help our efforts in building strong, sustainable changes and developing self-reliance among all communities in tackling the issue of child labour. We will use your donation to support the communities’ efforts for improvements in schools, supply of education materials, and other initiatives that cocoa growing communities take to prevent child labour. 

 Some examples of what your contribution can achieve:

  • 30 USD will provide a table and a bench in a school room
  • 50 USD will provide pupils with a school kit for the year
  • 200 USD will equip a classroom
  • 1000 USD will support the construction of a bore hole
  • 2000 USD will provide a matching contribution to build a school block

In Kakabo, Mpohor Wassa East district, Ghana, more than 50 pupils are not enrolled because there is no classroom for their section. Help to create a new class!  Download the Community Profile of Kakabo, its Community Action Plan and the Microproject.

Construction of Teachers’ quarter in Odumase, Ghana
In Odumase, Adansi South East district, Ghana, out of 9 teachers, 7 are voluntary and they are not leaving in the community because of lack of accommodation. They walk 5 kms daily. In Abekoase, Wassa Amenfi West district, Ghana, the existing school is up to Class 4 so children in Class 5 & 6 have to walk 6 kms to go to school. Help them to get to school in the vincinity of their home! Download the Community Profile of Abekoase, its Community Action Plan and the Microproject.
