Partnership means a formal agreement between two or more parties that have agreed to work together in the pursuit of common goals. ICI believes in the importance of partnerships in finding lasting solutions to problems, and for this reason seeks to establish partnerships supporting ICI's mandate to eliminate child and forced labour in cocoa growing.

 While ICI has its particular area of focus for its activities there are the underlying economic issues that need to be addressed. ICI has therefore actively promoted the engagement of companies to thoughtfully invest in projects that will promote improvements in the supply chain and cocoa producing communities.

ICI is involved in the following partnerships:

• Mars iMPACT: Brought together by Mars, Inc. in April 2007, the iMPACT partnership is a collaborative social, economic and environmental development program [more];
• Cadbury Cocoa Partnership;
• Nestlé ECOM ICCO ICI Project;
• Barry-Callebaut, Jacobs Foundation, WCF ICI Partnership.
