National and International Law

ICI’s work is informed and guided by the international and national law that regulates labour practices.  A number of international conventions exist which deal specifically with the problems of child and forced labour, most notably those adopted by the International Labour Organisation (ILO).The ILO is mandated to address the conditions and rights of working people worldwide. These two conventions are central to our mission and guide all our work.

We work in collaboration with the ILO and other such organisations that have long experience of working on labour and rights issues.
